¡Bienvenidos a Spanish Para Todos Podcast!

Did you take Spanish 101 in high school or college, but never really learned to speak?

You’ve come to the right place.  With Spanish Para Todos (Spanish For Everyone), you will improve your Spanish by listening to speakers talk and discuss topics of interest to you.  SPT Podcast isn’t for complete beginners, but you don’t need much Spanish to take advantage of it.  If you barely passed Spanish 101 or 102, you’ve got enough!  Now it’s time to get more.

You’ll learn new idioms and expressions and learn to use them the way native speakers do.  No more “textbook Spanish”!

Each Spanish Para Todos Podcast lasts 10-15 minutes, and has three parts:

1. A story or conversation, read at a slow speed.

2. An explanation of some of the expressions and phrases used from Part 1.

3. The same story or conversation read at a fast speed.

The podcasts are all recorded at a speed you can understand—clearly and comprehensibly.  This way, you’ll be able to actually understand the Spanish you hear, and pick up the meanings of new words and phrases.

You may not understand everything the first time you hear it, but if you listen to it a couple of times, you will find that your comprehension will increase significantly.

Spanish Para Todos Podcast is brought to you  every week by the Center for Educational Development, in Los Angeles, California.  Dr. Jeff McQuillan is the host of the podcasts.  Dr. McQuillan was a university professor of applied linguistics and education for many years, and has taught Spanish as a Second Language at both the high school and university level.
